Ms. Cantrell, has been licensed in real estate since 1988. Her expertise in real estate dates back to 1985, and her knowledge of building maintenance and construction began in 1990. Her experience includes Sales, Leasing and Property Management of Associations, Commercial, Residential, raw land and development properties, REO bank and state-owned properties.
Her current duties are to direct, manage, monitor, and develop departments to maximize client and company assets. Through formal site inspections of the interior and exterior of all buildings, he ensures the health and safety of all properties. Her duties also include setting measurable goals and objectives, preparing the properties annual budgets which are reviewed quarterly, recommending capital expenditures, monitoring real estate contracts and leases, coordinating marketing, leasing, and maintenance activities for multi-family, office, retail, warehouse, and office & medical condominium properties for a select group of clients. In addition, Laura provides project oversight of property improvements and capital improvements. She is skilled in the setup and operation of various accounting systems, payroll and taxes.
Through her professionalism and dedication, Ms. Cantrell has maintained several of the company’s same clients for more than 30 years. In recognition of Laura’s outstanding commitment to the Property Management profession, Laura was awarded the Certified Property Manager® of the Year Award in 2005 and 2006 by the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Ms. Cantrell is an Accredited Buyers Representative, Graduate of Realtors Institute, and a Certified Property Manager (CPM®). Laura has been active as either the President or President elect of the Alaska Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) since 2003 and served as the 2011-2012 Regional Vice President of Region 12 in which her two-year term had oversight for the activities of IREM chapters in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. She is an active member of the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) local chapter, prior Board Member & Finance Committee Member of the Anchorage Downtown Partnership, and University of Alaska – Anchorage Property Management and Real Estate Program Advisory Board Member since inception in 2014.
